Hurricane Katrina

I lead the first team to Louisana leaving the day of the Hurricane
>08/28 from Tampa with about 10 other VMs . We spent the first night
>in Pensacola and was then able to drop in to New Orleans the morning
>after. My link will give you visuals of what I saw. We then set up
>at the River Center Shelter ion Baton Rouge . We delivered as many
>as 600 assists and 28 book one sessions per day. I was for quite a while the only trained Book One auditor and often did over 20 sessions a day . What I found was that many of the evacuees were still stuck in their incident of having to leave their house, often not knowing where the rest of their family was. One example was the following :
I was walking up the escalator and heard a woman yelling and cussing at people "get the ****out of my bedroom " over and over. When i reached the top of the stairs I saw a police officer approach her ,he was pulling his baton and telling her if she did not quite down right now he was going to eject her and her three kids. Without much thought I stepped in between her and the officer and politely asked the policeman for a couple of minutes with her before he acted . He reluctantly agreed but stood nearby . I at once put her into a Dianetics session whereupon I found she was stuck in the incident of being dragged from her bedroom as the water was rising. She had been dramatizing her bedroom here in the shelter ! I kept running the incident and after 10 minutes the officer got bored and walked away. after 40 minutes she not only came up to cheerful it looked like a huge light had come on because she now realized this shelter was not her bedroom and she needed to figure a way out. I ended the session and then let her use my cell phione .Although she could not reach anyone at that moment she left a couple of messages and sure enough 2 days later she was able to move out of the shelter !

I saw the same r results over and over ....The people who received Dianetics sessions from me were leaving the shelter! The just needed to get "unstuck" so they could reach for help

Sri Lanka (my first VM tour)

started my traing by entering Narconon Arrowhead on 07/14/2004 upon graduation 09/24/2004 I came straight here to Flag to continue training and processing to class 5 and clear .I have had so many major wins on both sides of the bridge but nothing that can compare to the LIFE >CHANGING
experience of going on the VM tour to Sri Lanka . I completed my Volunteer ministers course then the Ministers
course and was ordained on the 5th of June ,on the 12th of June I went with one other Scientologist (Nathalie)to help a non-Scientologist(lynn) currently on the >ground. By deleviring the tech completly standardly as I was trained I
was able to see first hand the incredible results .Doing it in a courseroom with a twin (who knows what to expect) just does not compare to applying the tech to someone who has never heard of Dianetics or Scientology in the real world seeing real results. I have gained total certainty
that I am a Scientologist and must take responsibilty for all the dynamics because I can do something about it ! I now have a new purpose in life ...to deliver LRH tech to the Cities, States and Countries that need it most !

>David and Nathalies Journals
David and I made it to Sri Lanka. we are so glad that we are here. We are having the time of our life's I am not exaggerrating. Already my viewpoint about life is so changed. What is being done out here is wonderful and I am really privileged to be a part of it. The Sri Lankan people are beautiful...
>>> >June 12-14th: SRI LANKA OR BUST
>>> >David and I arrived in Colombo after 33 hours of flying and layovers. We stopped in New Jersey, London, Doha (Qatar) and finally we arrived in Sri Lanka. I found Qatar to be very interesting, the airport, anyway. It is located right above Saudi Arabia and right near Dubai, and Doha appears to be very modern and sophisticated. However, there is something in the environment--I could sense that I was in
a different world. Very much in the desert and--I don't mean to be condescending or overly simplistic--but I felt like I was in the middle of Arabian Nights or something. Very beautiful. A mix of East and West, also--we saw many women covered in head to toe in traditional sorris but we could see the denim of their jeans peeking out from underneath the bottom of their robes and also beautiful but heavily made-up eyes looking out from their head covering. We also saw the strictly traditional women and many other westerners, as well.David and I were met in Sri Lanka by two non-Scientologist volunteers named Asanka and Kielty,
Kielty is our driver, and we call him "Aya", which in Sinhalese means, "Older brother". He calls Lynn "Aca", older sister and Dushara is "male" younger brother These guys are amazing, they devote so much time to us. Asanka travels with us and delivers part 1 of the Dianetics seminars. He is really amazing , he just graduated from the University. He is a lawyer.Asanka and Kielty took us to eat and settled us in. We met Lynn, the VM on the ground here, and she is AMAZING. She is not a Scientologist-yet--but
she really is producing wonderful products and has taken charge of this operation in a very effective way. She is so uptone and extroverted, I like her very much.>In the evening Lynn, David, Krishna (another non-Scientologist volunteer that has been taking great care of us and already is a fast friend and I went to the local Military base that trains officers. We metwith Major Perakom, an official there. He is a major ally and even offered to send a military car to pick David and I up from the airport. He wanted to meet us. Lynn set up a seminar with his officers in training for June 23rd. The Major offered to arrange a trip for us before we left into the beautiful inland hill country of Kandy where we could see the elephant orphanage
and beautiful plantations. We have a very busy week ahead of us!! On Thursday we have a seminar in a Temple with a group of Monks. On Friday we set out on a 5 day driving tour to the Southern provinces where we have back to back seminars scheduled. We go to Matera, Galle, Malembe, Batagiryia, and more. We will also be visiting a Franciscan orphanage and bringing the children treats. Then when we return, we have more seminars and "training the trainers"(training peope to deliver the seminars themselves) in Colombo. One of our main goals here in addition to delivery is to help Lynn establish the activity and really get the admin basics in. David and I also are charged with the Qual hat and ensuring the standard application of the tech in this pioneer area, being the only 2 Scientologists here right now.

June 16, 2005, at 09:34 AM,
journal entry.
We did our first seminar today. It was wonderful. David and I did the more advanced auditing section. Then the attendees twinned up and audited each others.
June 16th, 2005: Colombo
We had a very, very, very, successful seminar today! We went to The Venerable Revantha's temple today. We had 13 people in attendance. The Venerable Revatha is a monk and the leader of the temple. He is also the chief psychological counselor for his institution. Among the attendees were a
surgeon, nurse, a psychologist and others. The attendees
responded very well and all of the ones I talked to said they would come to the next seminar we are giving on the 24th. Ven. Revatha and his secretary,Palitha, were especially interested. They wrote very good success stories
There were several others that are Trainer candidates. At the conclusion of the seminar, the Ven.Revantha inquired to
what other solutions we had. He asked if we had anything to
handle suppression, and whether we had any solutions to drugs. Lynn said absolutely and talked to him about suppression and had David talk to him about Narconon. The upshot is that he wants to see about having a separate
seminar on suppression, and also--wants information on how to start a Narconon in Sri Lanka!! It was a very good reception.Ven. Revatha took David and me into the temple and blessed us. This was a humbling and beautiful experience.I have to say, this is probably the most amazing day of my life to date. I didn't quite understand until I got here what an amazing amount of help can be given. I really don't have words to explain.
Love you,
Nathalie and David

Our trip through the southern provinces has been an
eye-opening experience. That is an understatement. The Tsunami seemed so far away when we were in the states, but witnessing the site first hand has really had an effect. 6 months later, there are areas that are still ravaged, with no rebuilding even started.
June 17th: THE ROAD TO GALLE
This day was a travel day down to the south, with our
destination
for the evening being Galle. On the way, we stopped at the
Budhist temple that we had given the seminar at the previous day and brought the Rev. Revantha (religious leader) the Scientology Handbook, Assist pamphlets, Cause of Suppression pamphlets, Dianetics kit, and Illustrated Guide to Purification RD. This is the Monk that wants to see about getting a Narconon and Dianetics center. We set up a Cause of Suppression seminar, which David will deliver on June 24th at the education center next to his temple.
Then we hit the road. The bus, by the way, is really cool! It was donated by a Scn. celebrity(Tom Cruise)and is huge and very comfortable. We picked up candy and stopped at Don Bosco's Boys' Orphanage. This orphanage has taken on many children that lost their parents in the Tsunami. We gave them chocolate and David played his guitar for them. It was wonderful. The boys are so polite, it blew us away. All had their manners in--all of them said "thank you" in English as they received their 2 pieces of candy, and they all shook our hands and said good bye, again in English, when we left. What was really great is that one of them played a bongo, and they all started dancing. Oh my goodness--what a beautiful sight Those boys could move! I of course, couldn't resist joining in with them, and this they loved. . I stopped, and one of them looked at me and said, "Dance?"and pointed to the ground. He then grabbed my hand and twirled me around. This was a little boy, mind you, probably around 7 or 8 years old. The children stole our heart's.We were toured around the orphanage, which is run by Franciscan brothers, and they do a wonderful job with the children. They grow their own crops and teach the boys to farm. But--their living quarters leave much to be desired--2 boys to a bed, with the older ones sleeping outside!!! Also, their desks are in bad repair. I left and knew I could never forget them.
June 18th: GALLE:
We checked in to a hotel called Shanti, right on the
ocean. At night we slept with our room door open to hear the
ocean and feel the breeze. even though there was no a/c or hot water we felt like we were on vacation. Then the next
morning we delivered the full Dianetics seminar to a group at a Baptist church in Galle. This was wonderful. The success stories are amazing. One woman said that now she had
freedom from the pain of the Tsunami incident--and this is
after ONE SESSION given by a brand-new auditor that we JUST
rained! We can develop a good core group of young people in Galle and we want to work to turn these guys into real auditors and trainers. All agreed to come the following week for more. We had mainly students in this group, but also a doctor and another professional gentleman.
June19th: HAMBANTOTA/BANDAGIRYIA
After Galle, we travelled on to Hambantota. This is an area that is so devasted. We weren't even sure if the hotel that we wanted to stay at was still there, since most of the town was completely wiped out. We traveled the following morning to Bandagiryia, and let me tell you--this was in the outback of the outback. I felt like we had traveled back in time. We were in the, for lack of a better
word--in the boonies. But the people! The Sri Lankan people are so great. We delivered the full Dianetics seminar at a Montessouri preschool there. We made WONDERFUL contacts. We met the President of an organization called EMI, also in the Rotary club, and a Doctor. Both want us to start permanent Dianetics centers! There is a brand-new community center in Hambantota that we can use as our home base. We are really, really excited about this, because
this can be the seed of a new Scientology mission!! These
gentleman want Dianetics--and they want us to stay in the area to help their people. Hope this gives you an idea of our actions out here. Miss you and love you lots!
Nathalie and David

Hello! First of all we would like to say that we want to adopt every child in Sri Lanka and bring him or her home with us ! Something to think about...Here is a journal entry from a few days ago.
Everywhere we go, the reception to Dianetics and Scientology has been wonderful!! Three of our contacts (important men in their communities) in three different cities all want us to start permanent Dianetics/Scientology centers. Just today, one said, "Let's bring Scientology to Sri Lanka permanently!"
June 21st: Tsunami Survivor Camps, Galle
On this day we visited two of the camps that have been
established on the coast in Galle for Tsunami survivors in order to deliver Scientology assists, Dianetics sessions, and to help the people. The first camp that we went to had 175 people living in tents donated by an Austrian relief
center--6 months after the disaster! The living conditions were terrible, the heat alone made me think of a sauna, and many tents were pitched over large puddles in the ground.
But the people--we gave locational assists and audited the camp leader on Book One. He had a big win and said that he wants to be trained on how to deliver Dianetics to his people! Then we also just visited with the residents of the camps. We were invited inside one of the tents and sat with a family. Their hospitality--they offered me "plain tea"
and delighted in teaching me some more Sinhala. David played his guitar and this once again brought a big increase in the tone of the group. We made friends with the children, of course. One of them, a beautiful girl named
Sandamali, gave me three excellent drawings that she had done as a gift. The people were so thankful that we were there. In the second camp, we gave 3 Dianetics sessions, and again the camp coordinator said she wanted to learn how to do it. we also gave another group locational, and did a Loss of a Person assist. The people were so happy. There was one man in particular that stands out. The camp coordinator asked us to audit him first since he had lost his entire family in the Tsunami. She said he had much grief. And wouldn't you know--this gentleman that was the
>>>saddest in the camp, after his session, he joined the group and was dancing away with a HUGE smile on his face. This blew me away. I promise, I do have pictures of this. I finally got them off of the camera and I will show them to
you. These people were so happy, and since all of them had lost at least one family member in the disaster, it was so rewarding to be able to help them and to raise their tone. The children even tried to get their exchange in by giving us shells as gifts. One little girl, named Natasha, even
tried to give me money!! Can you believe it? Of course, I didn't take it, but I did accept a shell from her. This day was so amazing. Visiting the camps of people who have lost so much and being able to DO SOMETHING to help is quite an
experience. We have been trained in a lot of technology,
However, up until this moment, I didn't realize that I
have total CERTAINTY on my ability to help another being and that the technology of our religion is above all, meant to be applied to others to improve conditons and life. There wasn't any choice when I was visiting these camps and also when I have been giving lectures We had to know what we
were talking about, David and myself were the only Scientologists on the ground . Because we could apply it. We had to take responsibility for what we knew. So if anything, I would say this trip has made me us into real
Scientologist. Also I know without a doubt that SOMETHING CAN BE DONE ABOUT IT, and that we are able to take charge of our environment for the good of all.
More to come! We have been very busy over the last few days.
Miss you and love you,
Nathalie and David

Journal entries....I can forsee the end of our time here and I cannot believe it! It has gone so fast, and yet we feel like totally different beings with years of experience under our belt's.
June 22nd: Training the Trainers in Matera
On this day we met with a group of professional counselors in a town called Matera, 1 hour away from Galle. We were sad to leave our seaside hotel, which was simple but glorious because of the ocean views. Upon our arrival
in Matera we were met by our contact Dr. Talina, a very
important doctor and a real opinion leader among the community. It seems "everyone knows" (lol) the good doctor. The doctor asked if we had something to handle criminals and we spoke with him about Criminon, and just like that, he
is interested in putting Criminon in the prisons. We had a small group of 5 counselors, but this was the third time that these women had gone through a Dianetics program. The purpose of the workshop was to train them on how to deliver Dianetics workshops, so they could apply the tech to others and especially in their practices. What a thrill to watch these women. So trained, so interested, so reaching for the tech. With this group especially we were zeroing in on KSW
(and keeping Dianetics working) and auditing techniques. They also practiced standing up in front of the room and delivering parts of the Dianetics lecture. They did this in English and though they struggled, I am very proud of these women. Then we traveled into the night back to Colombo, arriving , I don't know when, it was late. Most of the way on the bus, we worked with our WONDERFUL volunteer Asanka on the Cause of Suppression workshop we were giving the next day at a buddhist temple. He had to translate the
entire thing and it has a lot of advanced words. He worked so diligently on it.We went through it with him line by line. We arrived home exhausted but excited about the seminar the next day, the first introduction of PTS/SP
tech into the country, if I am not mistaken.David and I are so impressed with Asanka and want him to go to ANZO for further training. Just today he told me that instead of being a lawyer (he has graduated from Law School recently) he wants to do Dianetics and Scientology full-time.

June 23rd: Cause of Suppression lecture at education center of Budddhist temple
The next day we revisted our Buddhist monk, Ven. Revantha to deliver a Cause of Suppression lecture at his request. This was a major win, as this incredible man is reaching for Scientology in a big way. David did the Cause of Suppression lecture and then I took over and did a workshop on Scientology basics from the "How to Get Along With Others" life improvement course. This lecture was VERY well received. They love Scientology! What a thrill to watch the people, the Buddhist monk included, practice raising ARC with each other and taking notes on the ARC triangle and the tone scale! At the end of it, the Ven. Revantha's secretary said something to the effect of, "I want Scientology for Sri Lanka!" He wants us to set >up a permanent center for Dianetics and Scientology in--get this--the educational center on the grounds of the Buddhist temple. We have our center now !
