Badge html #1 works (was made some time ago) but #2 does not work (was made recently) ???

The first Badge is copied from my welcome page and the thumbnails are clickable. It takes a double click but then it goes to the album size photo.

The Second Badge is one made recently and is not clickable. I get a pop-up blocker sound. The html code looks quite different from the first one which I made some time ago and the second one that I made recently. Perhaps something in the "new" code is causing the badge not to work correctly.

Terrific Testimomial by Napomo!!!

by napomo http://members.fotki.com/napomo/about/
Fotki
* affordable (even for me) $30 a year
* unlimited (!) storage
* many options for (batch-) upload, (java,active-x, personal ftp, email, cellphone,many more)
* cobranding
* image hosting and linking
* page customization
* java and flash slideshow to choose
* journals with options that beat most blogger sites
* tagging
* search options
* global mapping
* photo selling
* high quality prints at low cost
* 500mb email
* statistic
* comments
* guest book
* privat and public folders and albums
* remarkable customer service, those guys are there for you on email and phone ( tollfree 8am-11pm 5/7)
* forum
* photo contest
* very friendly and interactive community

I like the customer orientated approach and the great customer service. Fotki is one of the very few sites I came across, who takes requests or complaints from their customers serious and makes work out of it. The Contests need better rules and preselections and there are a few other issues that would be worth to be addressed, but the magic thing on Fotki is that you ask and you'll get! My overall conclusion is that Fotki is a great host who constantly improves the already great service. I tried several photo sharing sites, but they all can't beat Fotki.

A very happy Fotki camper

"Fotki today made the staging view of the "new" feature of columns & rows "live"

Hello All!!! Fotki today made the staging view of the "new" feature
of columns and rows "live"...

That means now you can go to your
album properties or my account settings and select either "auto"
or "fixed" for Album Layout!!! Fixed returns to us the option that
we are used to and Auto gives us the new feature of having the
viewers browser decide how many columns to display in order to avoid
horizontal scrolling!!!

It's really smooth!!! Try it out!!! Gary G. Schempp"

Fotki Staging View!!!

Fotki Staging is where things get Beta tested (sort of '-)))
You can see possible new features in advance of others in this view.
Nothing is guaranteed here. It's just a view of possiblities.
Here is the latest as of this date:

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

For anyone that wants to see the staging view go here:

http://public.staging.fotki.com:8080/ put your user name here

I just took a look at the new layout feature of columns and rows.
You can see it in your "My Settings" or if you go to "Album Properties"
in left menu when you are in an album's thumbnail view.

In that view click on "Advanced Properties" and go to Album page layout:
The box will be selectable either Fixed or Auto. If you click on
Fixed, then the old boxes of columns and rows shows up. The Auto gives
you new options with as many as 120 thumbnails on a page. Nice for
large albums or if you want fewer pages.

Not sure when Fotki will make it live... But save your staging address
somewhere for future use!!! If you haven't utilized your Fotki
Journals Feature yet, now is a good time to start!!! Here is where I
save things like this --->

Poultry Stock Description and Inventory 11-3-07

Raising Chickens is Fun!!! Find or Embellish in your own Hobby, it's contagious, and it could be a start of a more Peaceful World!!!

Here is some information that I put together regarding my "Happy Hens Poultry Farm" Cheers!!! Gary G. Schempp '-)))

All Chicks were hatched May 12th 2007 and purchased as day old chicks from www.McMurrayHatchery.com I have Pullorum Certificates showing all vaccinations including Marek’s. I started and maintained all chicks on Gro-Gel Plus (which was added to crumbles days 1) / Quick Chick (vitamins and electrolytes) was added to water daily / and Purina Brand Start & Grow Crumbles medicated with Amprolium was made constantly available. At 4.5 months some hens started laying eggs. At that time the feed was switched to Blue Seal Layer Pellets. Vitamins and electrolytes are still added to the water and scratch grain is given sporadically as a treat. Free ranging is limited to a short time before dusk, and in my presence, due to predators. I am currently receiving about 8-10 eggs per day of various sizes, shapes, colors and shades. No parasites have been noticed. Entire flock appears colorful, energetic and healthy. Pen size is 24 x 24 feet or 576 sq. feet. Chicken coup is 5 x 8 with top roosting and a 15 section egg laying nest. Current flock = 12 roosters and 27 hens for 39 total out of 45 original.

California Fires Oct 2007

The photos in this album were sent to my by a friend in California via email, (thankyou Kay and Connie). They are not my photos. I am not sure of their origin. I am posting them to show my friends all over the world what the fires of Oct. 2007 have done. Donations can be made to the Red Cross or just check the web for the proper links.

Some Facts:
1. 1800 homes and counting have been destroyed.
2. The fires encompass over 753 Square Miles which is 3 times the size of New York City.
3. There are 8900 + Firefighters fighting the Fires.
4. There are over a dozen huge individual fires.
5. Arson is suspected.

Group Travel Info: 2 Organizations that I have used /// Rick Steves Travel Company and Overseas Adventure Travel Company.

www.oattravel.com is great. So is the www.ricksteves.com company. They have their likes and differences. Likes = both very professional and organized. Both give great value for the money compared to other group companies and both have lots of experience.

I used RS only for their Turkey tour. But I have used RS guidebooks since 1998 on my first solo trip to Europe. I used his guidebooks on a trip to Europe every year since then, exploring different regions of Europe. Ricks guidebooks work very well for anyone wanting to travel in Europe on their own and without a group tour. Europe is easy, you really don't need a group tour for that in my opinion.

However, I have found that I cannot travel as cheaply, nor as effectively, nor as safely, nor include as many features, sights, adventure and discoveries in third worlds as with OAT.

Not faulting either company some differences are:
1. OAT includes airfare in the price.
2. OAT travels to all parts of the world not just to Europe.
3. OAT limits number of people to not less than 10 or more than 16.
4. With OAT, you may visit schools, farms, plantations, factories, shanty towns, have home hosted lunches or dinners with locals, have many scheduled side tours and physical activities, etc... As Everyday is packed, and all or most of the meals are included, as are top notch lodgings and highly qualified tourguide professionals and transporters. Consider a tour with OAT... If you do, I have discount coupons you can use. (See coupon below)

My first tour with OAT was to Costa Rica. I was going to go on my own until I researched it and found out what they offered, and it was more than I could do on my own in two weeks...
It turned out great... so I used them the following year for Thailand and Cambodia and recently for Peru, Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands.

If your go here http://public.fotki.com/GaryGS1/travel_albums/costa_rica_dec_2004/ you will see my albums for the first OAT tour I took including a scanned version of my trip evaluation .

I think that I paid around $1499.00 for everything... airfare, meals, hotels, tour guide, tours,
We went horseback riding, went to mud baths, did river rafting and kayaking as well as the zip line thing way high up in the canopies...

Here is a group / activity collage I made after the trip. Perhaps it will give you a visual idea.
Click on the photo and it will take you to the rest of the album

Feel Free to Print this Coupon for a discount!!! Cheers, Gary

Greetings from Home!!!

Back in the home saddle of things safe and sound. For those that checked in, Thanks!!! I loved all the comments, even if I had no time to respond... I just read them all... you guys are awesome!!!

Peru and Ecuador were amazing... Machu Picchu of Peru and the Galapagos Islands of Ecuador were the highlights for me... Standing directly on the Equator in Quito, Ecuador at latitude 00.00.00 was pretty awesome as well...

The people were wonderfull, the group was enthusiastic and the guides were the best!!! All went without a hitch... except of course the 7.9 earthquake near Lima, Peru, but we survived unscaved unlike other less fortunate individuals closer the the epi-center. Are prayers are with those families.

The music playing (if you have speakers) is from the CD I bought in Quito Ecuador from SINAMUNE. An Orchestra whose members are physically or mentally disabled. I really enjoyed their show and music and hope you like their rendition of Que Sera Que Sera... Gary

PS... Click this link for more group shots!!!
