| | CHEEKQUEEN- ATTEMPTING to make a comeback...2011's Journals Recent Comments Today, after 2 weeks I have removed my cornrows. I did notice breakage around my edges which I hope will fill in very quickly. I placed my hair in several sections and detangled one by one. My detangling method included combing from tip to root, while holding my hair firmly. I shampooed my hair with a mixture of Suave Fresh berry smoothie shampoo and tropical coconut conditioner. I did a shorter shampoo with CON detangling conditioning shampoo with a good lather. I rinsed and applied my olive oil deep conditioner by Africa's Best. I left that on for 1 hour without heat and rinsed. I proceeded to detangle and section off hair to prepare for rollerset. I used the gray and red magnetic rollers. I sprayed my hair with what I call "The rollerset silk spray". I made this with Qp thermal silk liquid, ? drops of kemi and castor oil and a few ounces of water. I soaked my hair with it and applied Qp mango butter to my ends and began to section off and roll. My rollerset is never the neatest so it is most important to make sure my ends are properly clinging to the roller before I start the rolling motion. I dried my hair for 40 min. under hooded dryer on medium heat, then removed the rollers and applied a dime size of ORS lotion. I finger combed my curls until they were loose and combed with my shower comb and bristle brush into a wrap. I placed the saran wrap on making sure that there were no gaps around the edgs so my hair would not sweat. I sat under the hooded dryer for 10 min. and unwrapped my hair with a paddle brush. My biggest goal with my silk wrap is to make sure my roots are somewhat flattened down to make it easier to munipulate. Here is the list of those who either have close hair or textures to mine or who I think to be hair twin.
