I am biracial white, black and indian, so my hair is kind of confused. I think I am mostly 3b with a few sections of 3a thrown in. I started CG in June so I haven't shampooed since then. I have condition a lot and I was using gel. For about the past 2-3 months I have been giving the productless look a try. I make my own concotion in the shower. First I load it with Suave Naturals to get the tangles out. After I rinse that I then mix some more condtioner in my hand with a drop of honey and a drop of glycerin I flip my head upsidedown and smooth some underneath then I flip it back up and smooth the rest on top. I leave it dripping and then plop for about 10 minutes when I get out of the shower...while I'm doing everything else. Then I shake my curls a bit and that's it. Of course it is still wet when I leave but it's not dripping and it's usually dry in about an hour. My curls pretty well stay in place.
