| | Seeds Recent Comments Tuesday, November 28, 2006 10:14 PM We're into the holiday season, and it's been busy. Leaves are off the trees and all raked up and gone, and picture taking has slowed down for just a little until we get our first snowfall. Now, I'm sitting in my warm home (although its unseasonably warm actually, outdoors). A little more work, then off to bed. There is a lot to do... how fortunate to have busy hands and health. That's worth more than gold... Monday, November 6, 2006 12:42 PM The leaves are mostly off the trees, today is sunny and warm (around 50). The yard is being cleared of leaf litter and the garden is being prepared for winter. Soon, it will all be covered with snow, depending on the weather patterns. So now, we're in the transition period of late Fall. Shorter days and longer nights snug in the house with a cup of tea and indoor projects. Another nice time of year in it's own way. Tuesday, September 26, 2006 10:37 PM And, we do have SOME color. However, I took a drive up Rt. 30 as far as Blue Mountain Lake. Once you get past Speculator, the colors really start to show. I'm getting ready to get out whenever I can - dont want to miss the spectacular season! Tuesday, September 19, 2006 11:11 PM I got up north over the weekend but the colors havent started turning yet. Usually I miss peak, this year, I hope to catch it! I'm lucky to live within an hour of 3 different mountain ranges, 1 to the north, 1 to the south and 1 to the east. The "North" ones are my favorites by far, though. They're just bigger and lovlier! Thursday, September 14, 2006 10:30 PM It's just about time to close up here, and I've been listening to the rain outside. Hopefully, we'll get some good fall color this year, already the camera is ready to roll and capture some of the splendor. I especially love walking in the woods in Autumn when all the gold from the trees illuminates everything. In summer, when it's hot, the cool green shade is welcome. In fall, the color brightens even a rainy day. What a great time of year! | | |
