Co- washing, which is short for conditioner washing hair, hints rather than washing with shampoo, which has alot of drying chemicals and usually strips the hair of all its oils and moisture, co washing hair will retain the moisture as well as clean hair. How?? conditioners contain a detergent that still cleans the hair but being that its a conditioner it moisturizes as well. Some naturals are able to only cowash and not shampoo at all!! [it honestly depends on the products that are being used and at what amount] if you use alot of products on daily co washing still works for you. But there is going to come a time when you'll need to clarify your hair and scalp due to product build up. There are many sulfate-free shampoos, clarifying shampoos, but for those of you [like myself] who simply DONT like shampoo, natural clarifiers can be used... such as a baking soda treatment or an ACV rinse [Apple Cider Vinegar]
