Jazzie710natural **Under Construction***'s Journals
This journal will track my efforts to loose 70 pounds of comfort weight I have been holding onto for years. This is my first attempt at loosing weight while dealing with the emotional and spiritual issues that cause me to overeat and hold onto weight for protection. I also have two great friends (I call Queen Diva and Baby Buddha) who are supporting me in my efforts and workout like crazy with me although they don't have any weight to lose. I will post images once I have the courage to take pictures.
This journal tracks my efforts to grow my hair to waist length. I have actually been wearing my hair natural (without perms or other chemicals) for over 5 years. Unlike many people, I did not have to struggle with the decision. I woke up oneday and said what the heck. The natural hair journey has been difficult because I have resorted to hairstyles that can be damaging if not properly maintained. I've mainly used weaves and braids. I am so glad I found this site because now I can take care of my hair and not use false hair as a crutch. (Please don't get me wrong, if you like and look good in weaves then you should WORK THEM GIRL!!!!!). I just want to make a change. I have a lot of new growth although it is dry since I haven't been properly taking care of my hair. I will use the suggestions from this site to release my braids within 3 months. This site has been a Godsend. So my journey begins.....

This journal coincides with my Mirror Mirror Album and will document my makeover efforts. I love my mother with all of my heart, but I am tired of seeing her looking back at me in the mirror. So this year I am going to document my makeover highs and lows, successes and "what was I thinking" failures so I can discover what works. Once I post pictures, please provide your honest feedback. I have had special moments when my desire to achieve a certain look is so great that my brain stops working and my eyesight becomes faulty.
