Hey everybody!
I don't know how this usually goes because i'm new to this whole internet blog/journal deal, but i'm pretty sure that all I have to do is spit out whatever comes to mind, and then maybe someone out there in the wide, wide interweb might read it and scrape some knowledge out of it...
Well anyways, i'll be writing about my lifelong obsession,... my hair. I've been wrestling back and forth between loving and hating it ever since I realized that it didn't look the same as my best friends hair did(who is italian and french might I add,.. and VERY PALE), and how old was I again??? Oh yeah. Five. I was five years old when I realized that my hair and I would be in a losing battle for most of the remainder of my life. That is, unless I found a way to fix it! Oh yes, and might I add that I was that little girl that would wear her jacket by the hood on my head and pretend like I had long hair. Yeah. Obsessed.
And the fact that my little sister's hair can grow down to her butt.... twice, in the span that I manage to keep maybe, 6 inches just sickens me!!! And she's my full sister too!! *SIGH* Oh well, at least I know that I have good genetics then.. I just need to manage the breakage of my ends which so more difficult then it sounds.
Let me ask you guys a question,.... have you ever used hair oil like brahmani oil, amla, or coconut oil on your scalp and ends? Maybe even olive oil or mayonnaise and slathered your ends with it, and your hair STILL feels like a brillo pad?? Yeah, that's how mine is. Which I really just don't get because my hair is soft, soft, soft and I have minimal split ends, but they still feel and look extremely dry. THIS I know is my big problem with acquiring length because my ends tangle up or break off jut from brushing on my shoulders,... which is why it's difficult for me to edge past that mark.
So. My first method for attack. Dr. Miracles Hot Gro hair and scalp treatment conditioner. You put it on your scalp and tips twice a day, so I am going to see if it softens my tips at all from one months use. I'm also going to see how much growth I can get from one months use of that too. The box talks about the "thermalceutical" feel of the product which you can feel working while it is on you hair. "Feel the tingle,... feel the growth" it says. Well, the good nw sis, I can feel the tingle, most definitely! And MAN, does it feel good! So that is twice a day, everyday.
I'm also going to do a mayo treatment on sundays I think. Straight up Mayonnaise for the protein and moisture that it adds, and see how the mixture works for now. I might switch to and olive oil/honey mix on sundays, but we'll see.
Wish me luck!!
