Driver Cards

As many people know I also run a site called Race Driver Cards (www.RaceDriverCards.com) where we do custom hero - driver card hand outs. We also do 2 sided business cards and promotional cards. 2005 will be our 3rd year doing this. Last year we also added crew shirts, hats and stuff like that for the local racer. This folder is a place to show off some of the cards we have created.

Enduro

Next album I worked on was the Enduro pictures. I ran once in awhile in the Street Stock class but most of my races were done in the Enduro class. My first car was #4 when you got the car number in the order you signed up. That was way back in 1986. I ran a few nights as #75 when I shared a car with a buddy of mine in 1987. Then it went to #51 for a few years in 1991 & 1992 and the last 3 years I raced it was #24 from 1998 - 2000. Most of these pics are from the 2000 season. I have more to add but they will need to be scanned in. Most of the pictures I'm listing now are ones I have on my computer already. If anyone has pictures they want to send in you can E-mail me at Info@RacewayParkHistory.com

Welcome to the site

After searching around the web I decided to go with Fotki.com as the place to host my Raceway Park photos. I started this in February 2005. The first chapter is done. I added photos I took at the track after they closed in 2000. In early 2001 after hearing it would close I stopped by a few times to take photos. Sometimes the track was closed and other times it was open and I could walk around and take photos. I later came back in the summer of 2001 and took photos as the track was being torn down. A very sad day if you ask me. I tried to put them in order and even make it into a story. I hope you enjoy them.

Tailgate Party Photos

I got a call from Chuck Fox one day in early 2001. Chuck was a friend from Raceway Park who I had raced against in many Enduro's. He had the idea to have a tailgate party in the Raceway parking lot. He called the the track and got the OK from the Jenin family to do so. Since they were going to be there the day in question anyways, they were nice enough to open the gates to the actual track for anyone that wanted to walk around and take pictures or video. We didn't know what to expect. We brought old pictures to look through and some food and beverage. By the end of the day I would say over 250 people stopped by. Many were friends I knew. Some were people I had never met. While others were former track workers and drivers. We had a great time. It was neat to walk around the track and take pictures and bring up memories we had of the track while other people 100 feet away doing the same thing talking about different memories. It was nice to see people like Wayne Adams and John McKarns (founder of the ARTGO Series) show and walk around. Former track champions like Barb Bosak and Bud Koehler showed up. Bud was nice enough to sit and talk with our group for about 45 minutes about the "good ole days". A great time was had by all. Hey Chuck, GREAT IDEA!!!!
