Hi Ross! This blog is an excellent idea ... we can even keep an eye on your up here in the UK! My only comment: is it possible to have the entries so that the most recent appears at the top of the screen, rather than the first? I can see after a wee while we'll have a lot to scroll through! Anyway, John and I are wishing you well ... and love to Dee, too ...... Gabi x
Hi Ross, sorry to hear you are having low moments, but we all know what a positive, not to mention incredibly witty, person you are. Hope you are having a great time up north and please give Diane my love for her 60th. Lots of love to you and Dee, Heather x
Hi you two sounds as though everything is going to plan. Think of you daily Ross - all positive thoughts. Hope to catch up soon for a meal/coffee or something. Love from us both Gaye & Doug
Glad to see you got up to the Bay and the weather certainly played into your hands, though everyone was rugged up so I expect it was cold. Best of everything for the next few weeks, you are in our thoughts every day. Take if slowly brother. loving you heaps Maree, Nigel and Aaron.xxx
Hey cous - am finally home after my unexpected 10 day stint in Ak Hospital. Only one day home and already I'm bored with lying flat on my back in bed, so Kev kindly parked me on my 'special' hospital loan chair in front of his PC so I could pass some time & visit your site. Enjoyed scrolling through your photo album and seeing lots of familiar faces thankyou. And how tremendous are you for developing this site to keep everyone up to date with your prognosis. It was great to see you, Dee and cousin James the other day. Hope you are doing okay through Cycle 3 and look forward to seeing you again soon. Luv & hugs, Marie
Good on you Ross and Dee. It's great that you have had friends and family visit. We are thinking of you all the time and praying for an early recovery. Keep on keeping on with your positive spirit.
Sorry. You know me, I just couldn't resist taking the shot. Actually, I'm just jealous. My first time to Taupo was in '97 to work with Razor's Edge. Iraia was ex-army and got a beautiful apartment for the quartet right on the lake. Winter time. Icy every morning, but the views! Spectacular! I try to get there every time I'm in your fine country. It also has my favorite antique store in town. Your pictures make me miss the place all the more.
And you're there with such an amiable looking group! Lucky man!
Aha, some geographical confusion on your part. Taupo Bay is 4 hours north of Auckland, just as scenic as Lake Taupo, but a whole lot warmer. Dee has a sister in Taupo so we get down there reasonably often also.
Bloody Americans! I had wondered why you didn't "retreat" to your place up north, and now I know. You did! And you're right, it looks easily as scenic, sans the large and majestic Ruapehu (probably misspelled) looming in the background. My first clue should have been the snapper your neighbors caught. Not too many of them running in the lake, I hear.
Roughage - yeah it's got to be good for you, all that weetbix. Keep it up, and the updates are just great as well - useful, and entertaining, in some cases...
